John Meredith is the Chief Operating Officer for Chamberlain Hrdlicka law firm. John is a graduate of the University of North Georgia, Georgia Tech, Baylor Law School, and Harvard University. As a volunteer in the Third Ward, John was a founder of the award-winning Aspiring Youth After-School Programs for at-risk youth. Through serving as President and General Counsel, John organized and implemented citywide, statewide and nationwide programs that have reached more than 13,500 at-risk youth in over 30 cities. Professionally, John has worked in law firms and nonprofits. In 2013, he became the first Executive Director of SpringSpirit, a Houston non-profit assisting under-served youth and families. When his children went to college, John returned to the legal field. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at Houston Baptist University teaching public relations for over a decade. John is a Board Member for Souper Bowl of Caring and SpringSpirit non-profit organizations, and a Deacon at Second Baptist. John has completed leadership training programs through American Leadership Forum, Center for Houston’s Future, FBI Citizens’ Academy and Leadership Houston. John is married to Shirley Shelton Meredith and they have two grown children. John and his family serve as mentors for a Yellowstone Academy graduate and University of Houston student who lived in their home while attending Second Baptist High School on scholarship. They are also mentors to a SpringSpirit student at YES Prep Northbrook High.
